TOWN OF CALEDON
The municipality of the Town of Caledon is located approximately 30 kms. North-east of the City of Toronto. A population of 45,000 people reside in areas ranging from rural to urban, encompassing 700 square kilometers. The lack of public transportation and the need to serve all residents prompted the 'mobile' recreational services concept.

FLIPSIDE
"The Flipside" is a traveling Youth Drop-in Centre and Skateboard Park. 24 foot enclosed trailers visit communities throughout Caledon, rain or shine. On board are basketballs, skateboard ramps, music, card tables, refreshments and more! Supervision is provided by students employed by the Boys & Girls Club and the Town of Caledon. MOBILE YOUTH CENTRE
In partnership with the Caledon West Rotary Club, Caledon Youth Services were successful in obtaining a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to purchase equipment necessary to launch youth drop-in centres in communities throughout Caledon. Using the same model as the award winning Flipside Mobile Skate Park, the Mobile Youth Centre will visit communities from September to May.
